Pair Of Late 19thc Mahogany Library Reading Chairs
Pair of late 19thc mahogany reading chairs
This pair of 19thc mahogany and leather reading chairs, were made circa 1880.
Made in the Regency style with a fine ring turned front legs and arm supports.
Having a pair of this style of chair is very rare, and so it is a fantastic opportunity for you to own a pair.
We have restored these to their best, and have re-upholstered them in fine leather.
Our craftsmen using fine leather have covered the chairs and then hand dyed the leather, before putting the unique finish to them so that the chairs look as if they covering has been on them all their lives.
There are hundreds of brass capped stubs applied to each chair, each individually tapped in. This is a very time consuming job, that takes much skill and patience. It is imperative though as it not only helps secure the leather but also gives the class and restrained feel of such quality work.
It is only worthwhile to use such skills on the best frames, hence this pair warrants such work.
Imagine the enjoyment you will get as you relax in these, and the admiring comments from your family and friends when they see them in place in your home.
