Pair of large high back open armchairs c.1920. Backrests and sprung seats with unusual and original decorative woven tapestry covers featuring a flower arrangement amongst which is a parrot stealing cherries! Particularly attractive beechwood frames with shaped arms on scrolling supports. Shaped legs front and rear with moulded block feet and acanthus leaf carving at the front. Joined with shaped and moulded stretchers. Excellent condition, frames have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Dimensions: width 25″, depth 29″, height 48″.
