A superb pair of 19th Century half fluted glass covered urns raised on facetted stems and square bases. The bowls are finely etched with scrolls, flowers and ferns and have a facet cut frieze. This decoration is repeated on the covers which are topped with a facetted knop. The condition is good, there are very minor chips to the inside edges of one cover, these are small and do not impact on the appearance of the urns. These antique glass urns have an excellent provenance, originally in the collection of Count Redmond-Clayton-Browne-Clayton of the Villa La Punta, Liguria, Italy and through the family by descent.
A wonderful pair of 19th Century glass urns to enhance any interior.
