Two 19th.c. ladderback armchairs in ash c.1840. Slight differences in design, though very well matched for size and style. Both with high backrests with four slim shaped and curved rungs below flat top rails, curving arms with rounded terminals over woven rush seats. Turned front stiles with pad feet, joined with nicely turned front stretchers and plain double stretchers to the sides and rear. Very good condition with lovely colour and patina, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
