A fine and interesting pair of Italian oil paintings of horses. The horses are painted in oil on panels of cedarwood. The quality of the work is superb and the detail is wonderfully observed. The pair are both signed with initials and dated 1931 and 35. The horses are both named and, on the reverse, there are descriptions of the horses in Italian, one of which has been translated. The pair are mounted in the original gilt frames which are in excellent condition with the odd bit of wear as would be expected. The paintings are in great untouched condition and are ready to hang.
