Unusual pair of early 19th.c. mahogany side chairs c.1820. Curved and raked backrests with scrolling acanthus leaf detail and a pierced grip over Gothic trefoil cutaways and ogee arches. Sprung seat pads raised on shaped front legs and swept rear legs for stability. Excellent condition with some earlier repairs. Clean and serviceable covers though please note the seats can be easily removed for recovering.
