Circa 1770, good pair of George III walnut Chippendale style chairs. The chairs have stylish shaped tops with carved ears and a stylish open splat, over drop in pad seats and a double tea caddy moulded edge on the front rail. Below this are stylish open quarter brackets on the front and sides, and all standing on square tapering legs at the front with a chamfer on the outside and ribbed on the fore edge, and slightly outswept legs at the back united by a classic H stretcher. The chairs have some old repairs but beautiful colour and condition for chairs of this period.

Size 96cm high x 51cm wide x 43cm deep.
