Pair of French walnut low tub armchairs
Very decorative pair of late 19th century French walnut low back tub armchairs, very recently re upholstered and in great condition.
The chairs are beautifully carved and have well waxed frames so they are a wonderful colour, contrasting well worth the upholstery which is finished with a braided edge.
They are comfortable chairs, but not something you are likely to sit in all evening…I would suggest these are more suitable for additional seating in a living room when required, or hall / bedroom chairs.
Great pair of antique French armchairs and also look fabulous too, notice they are able to free stand in a room too as they are fully upholstered around the back.
Measuring:
31 1/4 inches or 79.5 cm high
25 inches or 63.5 cm wide
24 1/4 inches or 61.5 cm deep
16 3/4 inches or 42.5 cm seat height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
