Very good quality pair of French open armchairs or "Canape's" circa 1880
A great pair of armchairs, good size for use everyday in a drawing room / living room, but as you can see from the photos, the upholstery is old and they would benefit from re upholstery...they are priced as the pair and in the current upholstery, we can assist with upholstery, or you may have one yourself?
Beautifully carved frame and with original gilding which has aged well, so it's a lovely warm tone.
