Fine pair of late 19th.c. leather upholstered side chairs c.1890. Crisply carved walnut frames with a turned and reeded back stretcher repeated in the design of front and rear legs, themselves joined with a shaped crossover stretcher with a turned finial at the centre. Unusual brass finial feet to the front legs. Very good unrestored condition, solid and sturdy and retaining the original buttoned brown leather upholstered backrest and seat pads. Attractively aged and worn with only a small split and hole to one front corner on one chair.
