Splendid pair of brass mounted mahogany desk armchairs c.1900. Solid mahogany frames with extensive brass mouldings. Low upholstered backrests with turned brass spindles, padded arms on turned and fluted supports with brass mounts and inlays and unusual turned pommel tops. Over large sprung seats raised on turned legs, the front legs also fluted and brass mounted to match. Joined with moulded and curving cross stretchers with a large brass finial at the centre. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops with clean and serviceable upholstery.
