Pair of Antique French Gilt Wood Armchairs
A beautiful pair of antique French carved gilt wood armchairs, dating from around the 1930’s.
They are of very good quality, with gorgeous carving throughout. They sit on turned and fluted legs, with acanthus leaf carving and scrolled armrests. The proportions are very generous and they are very comfortable.
The gilt finish has just the right amount of wear, with different colours coming through the gilt. The frames are solid and perfectly distressed with a lovely patina. We have just had them re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric.
Width – 25 inches , 63 cm
Depth – 26 inches , 66 cm
Height – 37 inches , 95 cm
Seat height – 16 inches , 41 cm Please be aware this item may be in our shop or our warehouse - please contact us prior to visiting.
