Pair of 19thC Silhouettes, 'Barbara' & 'William'


A pair of 19th century silhouettes housed in matching rosewood veneer frames. The lady's portrait is bronzed.
Both portraits are inscribed verso. The female portrait is inscribed 'Barbara Avery[?], born at .... Chesterfield Feb-6-1816. Died April 18 1846[?]'. The male portrait's inscription has had a small area cut off. The legible parts read 'William Avery[?]. Born Dec 6 18.... Died Dec 7 ....'.
Both portraits remain in a very good condition throughout.
