A gorgeous pair of decorative 1970s oversized Indonesian lounge armchairs featuring woven rattan wicker covering a metal frame. The large, elegantly designed structure showcases a stylish geometric herringbone pattern. These chairs boast a generous curved back, upholstered drop-in seat, and wide rolled arms. They are impressive in scale, with excellent joinery and craftsmanship, and have developed a lovely aged patina. Originating from an estate near Cannes, France, the chairs exhibit wear consistent with age and use. One chair shows more wear, but both are beautifully crafted with strong joinery. Age-appropriate wear and fading are present, including some wicker losses, which are to be expected. Despite these signs of age, the chairs look exceptionally good as they are. The seat height is 40cm.
