This superb and elegant pair of 18th c. English Chippendale carved mahogany elbow chairs stand on swept back and cabriole front legs with ball and claw feet. The chairs have a lovely pierced back carved with ‘C’ scrolls and acanthus leaves, as well as detailing on the front legs. They are upholstered in a very attractive blue woven fabric with a white floral and red pattern. Each chair measures 26 in – 66 cm wide, 22 in – 56 cm deep and 38 ½ in – 97.8 cm high from the back with a seat height of 18 ½ in- 47 cm.
