Pair Carved Oak Hall Chairs, Wedding Thrones
A pair of French Carved Oak Hall Chairs, Wedding Thrones
This is a superb quality and intricately carved pair of Chairs, the Oak Chair backs are carved with Urns and Sheaves of Corn entwined up and down the chair backs. The chairs were probably intended as a wedding gift to be used at the wedding celebrations and then go on to last for a long time
The chairs have sturdy turned legs and stretchers and the seats are upholstered in a bright liberty pattern, woven in silk
The chairs are in good condition for their age and the backs have fantastic patination
The Chairs are 54” high at the back, 21” wide and 20” deep the seat is 18” high
