A very decorative pair of antique Victorian balloon back chairs in walnut dating from circa 1870. They have ornately carved and pierced backs, stuff-over seats and stand on carved cabriole front legs. The seats have been newly recovered. A very decorative pair of high quality chairs in good original condition, solid and sturdy with good patina. Stamped with makers mark underneath for Anlaby Road Hull.
Construction/Wood:
Walnut.
Condition Report:
Good original condition. Solid frames. Lovely age and patina. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered. One chair slightly taller than the other.
