A most unusual serving set by the top quality English silversmith, James Dixon and Sons of Sheffield. The hallmark can be found on the underside of the two removable handles.

There are two small entree dishes which sit in one large dish. The handles of the entree dishes are removable and once these are turned upside down it provides a set of five open serving dishes.

Each of the lids to the two dishes retains the original decorative monogram of the original owner, very regal looking.

Excellent condition dating to c.1890/1900. The set put together measures 14" x 9 3/4" x 4" tall to top of handles each of the entree dishes measures 8 1/4" x 6 1/2" x 3 3/4" to top of handles.
