Quality pair of early 20th.c. mahogany and bergere tub armchairs c.1920. Shaped backrest and arms with canework sides and a simple carved detail to the edge. Serpentine front canework seats with loose seat pads freshly upholstered in a smart blue and gold flatweave. Carved blind fretwork frieze across the fronts and raised on slim cabriole front legs ending in a good carved ball and claw foot. Maker’s label to the underside of one chair for Goodalls of Manchester. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
