We are pleased to offer this delightful pair of oval 19th Century Giltwood & Gesso Mirrors, which are a very practical size for the homes of today. They feature a surmount of crossed flaming torches over a floral wreath, supported with foliage on either side. The base of the oval is finished with a floral and foliate spray. There is an ornate inner and outer rim.

Dimensions:

Mirror Plate: 11 1/2" x 9 3/8" - 29.2cm x 23.8cm

Frame: 16 1/4" x 12 1/4" - 41.25cm x 31.1cm

Condition: Very good. In common with the majority of mirror and picture frames of this type, they have been repaired over the years, but are now firm and ready to hang with no missing gilding. The mirror plate on one of the mirrors has a very slight loss of silvering in three small places and a couple of small fine scratches, while the other one has only a single pinprick spot of silvering loss.
