A rare and early example of a desk-top perpetual calendar, this one dating to the late nineteenth century, around 1890.

Made from solid English Oak, this impressive oversized example stands a very grand 15 1/2" tall. Either side are beautifully turned knobs used to change the day date and of the calendar, moving the linen rollers forward and back protected by a glazed front.

The back has a leather covering creating a nice finish to the back.

Excellent condition with a footprint measuring 11" x 5" x 15 1/2" tall.
