Late 19th.c. oval gilt wall mirror c.1880. 24" x 30" oval mirror plate in a fine deep moulded wooden frame with bands of applied plaster or gesso decoration. Topped with a pierced frieze featuring a floral garland around acanthus leaves, all repeated as a smaller version at the bottom of the frame. Original gilding worn and rubbed through in places to reveal the red ground beneath. Very good condition, some repairs to the plaster and retouching, fitted with a new mirror plate.
Dimensions: Width 30½" Height 42" Depth 3".
