Ormolu Mounted Walnut Fold Over Card Table c.1880 fold over games %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Very smart late 19th.c. walnut fold over games table c.1880. Ideal as a small console or sofa table or rotate and open the top to make a table for four with a green baize playing surface for cards. Shapely serpentine sides with superb burr walnut veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern across the top and each side, with rosewood crossbanding to the edges. Useful mahogany lined storage space below the top and a shaped apron all round. Raised on slim cabriole legs, also veneered and crossbanded to match, with long ormolu mounts continuing from the knees to the feet front and rear. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
