Original Pair of Biedermeier Armchairs c. 1830


A pair of superb quality club armchairs with beautiful maple wood frames of superb colour and with lovely natural chatoyancy.
The face of each arm inlaid with leaves in ebony, walnut and bleeding heart. From a good house, these chairs have recently been upholstered in a lovely gold and cream heavyweight fabric, with wide deep seats and supportive backs these chairs are relaxing and spacious.
The colour of the wood is rich and vibrant and the framing is all original without worm or repairs. The fabric is without marks or wear.
In excellent condition for age and of a lovely linear design, these chairs are extremely stylish and eye catching and are extremely comfortable.
Very heavy and robust, fantastic quality, and in superb original condition.
There is a matching sofa and four matching Regency dining chairs available on separate listings. I really hope that this set can stay together and am happy to offer a discount should you wish to purchase as a set.
Dimensions are:
Each chair is 30.5 inches wide, 25.5 inches deep and 33.5 inches high. Floor to seat is 17 inches.
