Italian oil on canvas original 1960’s still life with wine glasses and bottles.

Signed on the lower right hand side, Schiumerini

Adriano Schiumerini (1927 – 1990) was an Italian artist from Alessandria, Piedmont, North West of Italy. He was a painter who enjoyed great popularity in the 60s - 70s and this painting is a genuine expression of that successful period.

The red colour is the leading player of an illusive and warm atmosphere here, achieved using multiple tones and shades of red from which the naturally transparent glasses appear and become visible by what is around them and what can be seen through them.
