AN EARLY 18TH. CENTURY STUDY OF A PEASANT WORKER, presented in a later frame.
This is an oil on canvas which has been laid down on board and is presented in a gilt and plaster frame,requiring some repairs.
The painting itself is in quite good condition for the age and is realistic and full of charactor.
You can see the peasants teeth up close,and that they are in poor order,with a crafty grin seen on the close-up of his face.
You would not want to meet this scrounger in a dark damp alley.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the item is found to have been misdescribed and the purchaser may be liable for the return costs subject to reasons for return.
Returns authorisation should be requested by sending an e-mail before posting.
Once we receive the item in good order as supplied not withstanding notified transit damage, we will return payment using the same payment method.
