Oil Portrait On Tin Of British Redcoat Officer
OIL PORTRAIT ON TIN OF BRITISH MILITARY OFFICER IN HIS REDCOAT TUNIC & FRAMED UNDER GLASS 19 X 22 INCHES.
An interesting military oil portrait of a smartly groomed young officer wearing his red coat tunic and regimental badged peak cap.
Painted to a good standard onto a piece of tin or zink metal thin liner and backed onto picture board,securely preserved under glass and gum tape sealed verso.
This is obviously a British Officer in uniform of
presently unknown regiment,who looks to be in age around his late twenties.
CONDITION.
There are a few tiny chips to the paintwork lower right corner and slight marks along the lower bottom margin,which we thought best left as seen as the picture has been fully sealed from behind inside a later replacement wooden frame.
