A charming oil on artist board of two Dutch rabbits. The work is a sketch in oils probably done by an artist quickly to capture the animals. There is a great freedom and loose brushwork about it which has caught perfectly the rabbits. The painting is in excellent condition having been professionally cleaned. The painting is not signed and that is not unusual for a sketch. The work is mounted in a period gilt frame which is a bit worn and gives the whole a great decorative look. C.1900.
