OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS TITLED " THE REHEARSALS " OF CIRCUS BOY TRAINING HIS DOGS & MONKEY TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS C1900 23.5 X 27.5 INCHES
An interesting oil on canvas painting depicting a circus rehearsal session with a young boy holding up a hoop in readiness to encourage his trainee dog to jump through.
His second dog sits patiently on the top of a large drum,awaiting his turn to be called,with a third young pup looking unsure and hiding behind an open chest stood on end as the boys seat.
The monkey sits quietly and looks on with interest.
The painting is tastefully painted and captures the warmth and charm of the ringside rehearsals behind a green and brown strung canvas tarpaulins
