Oak-Framed Leather-Upholstered Armchair
This attractive armchair dates from the first half of the twentieth century, but is older in style. It has an oak frame, with nice scrolled arms, shaped front legs and a decorative lower stretcher at the front. The chair has an over-upholstered brown leather seat and back with later upholstery and studwork edging.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the chair has some fading. It is solid with only some minimal movement in the joints. The chair retains its original leather upholstery to the back of the backrest, but this is badly worn, cracked and broken. It has had replacement brown leather upholstery fitted to the front of the backrest and the chair seat, which has some scuffing, wear, nicking and marking.
The approx measurements are as follows:
108.5cm high, 58cm wide, 56cm deep (to maximums) 50cm high to seat. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
