A rare and highly sought-after jug or pitcher in the form of a handsome owl and retaining his two large original glass eyes.

Made from silver plate onto Britannia Metal, there are a couple of spots of imperfection to the plate, the worse shown, nothing serious and shown purely for accuracy.

The underside is marked by the silversmith on the underside, H.J.L.

Highly collectable and in excellent condition dating to around 1910, Spanning 5 1/2" spout to handle x 4 1/4" x 8 1/4" tall.
