Very rare and unusual Victorian novelty 'coin eating' purse. Marked DRGM( Deutches Reich Gebrauchs Musterscutz) - meaning protected patented design under the Reich Government) When the ear is pressed the mouth opens to accept the coin. It is then 'swallowed' and deposited into the chamois leather pouch., which has one or two tiny holes. Finished in brass. Circa 1900. Circumference approx. 2 1/4"
