This is an attractive hand woven runner carpet from North West Persia dating from around 1900. The carpet has an indigo field with a row of hooked guls and a stylised tree of life design enclosed by narrow borders and meandering vine guard stripe. This is in very good order with an even pile and complete ends and selvedges.

The runner measures 400 cms by 95 cms.
