NEW YORK OIL ON CANVAS
A superb oill on canvas of New York, pre Twin Towers,using a technique with artists pallet knife to apply generously the oils and then to slice and paste vertically and horizontaly thus producing the necessary mixture and texture demonstrated in this painting.

The view of New York is probably from Statin Island on the other side of the river as the sun is setting late evening illuminating the haze.

The approximate date is at least 1955-58.
The condition is perfect and its in a clean state.

There is a signature in the bottom left corner which I am unable make out.

In all a very cleverly executed work of art,the subject being quite popular,but hard to find prior to the famous Twin Towers being built.
