Narrow Antique Gilt Pier Mirror.
Antique Gilt Pier Mirror c1874.
Frame water-gilded to the very highest of standards using 23ct genuine gold leaf.
Original mercury mirror plate which has a wonderful overall sparkle to the silvering. Plate is dated on rear 19/2/74 (1874). Plate does have an historic area of scuffing around 16" from the bottom, this was probably due to a mantle antique clock or vase rubbing up against the glass over the years, certainly not worth considering changing the plate over.
Original panelled backing board.
Sizes 169cm tall x 80cm max width at base x 76cm wide main frame.
