This is a stunning naive oil painting of British Merchant ship 'Drummuire' coming into Falmouth Harbour.
'
Drummuire' was a 4 masted 'barque' built in Liverpool in 1882. (She was destroyed by enemy explosives, in 1914, off the coast of Argentina, near Cape Horn)
This scene depicts Drummuire being guided into harbour by a Falmouth Pilot Cutter No2 and Tug 'Wasp'
This painting is reminiscent of North American naive art.
Dimensions Frame measures 103cm x 59cm
