This item is a vintage heavy glass dog made in Murano, Italy. Murano in an island in the Venetian Lagoon, which is world renowned for the beautiful glass items produced there. This dog, which is rather reminiscent of a standard poodle, is cased in clear glass, with black ears and tail, whilst the interior is solid black with a mass of aventurine inclusions. We would estimate that the dog was produced circa 1950/1960 and bears its original label. Please see photos.

Please note that air bubbles, ash deposits or dimples are not considered defects in hand made glass.
