A very accomplished bronzed patinated plaster bust of Mr Albert Pountney, better known as ‘Pont’ – always good to put a name to a face. It possesses a great look and would sit marvellously well in a cabinet or on a sideboard. Albert was a contemporary and teacher of Mary Milner Dickens. The bust was exhibited in the ‘Routes from Roots’ exhibition in 1987.
Mary Milner Dickens - a little info on this talented artist - As a sculptor her versatility is founded upon the broad education she received at a number of eminent institutions during the 1950s and 1960s. She acquired the traditional skills of modelling, carving, drawing and lettering at the Royal College of Art and Leicester College of Art, while her time studying for a Masters degree in Fine Art at Cornell University in the United States exposed her to a variety of new technological processes and alternative media. She also spent two years at the British School in Rome and won the prestigious Prix de Rome for Sculpture in 1957.

Dimensions - Overall: Height 44cm x Width 20cm x Depth 25cm Billy Hunt has successfully focused on British furniture, lighting and accessories since 2015. Our base is a 3,000sq foot space on a wonderful country estate in Staffordshire which you are more than welcome to visit, please let us know in advance so no wasted trips are made. When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions

If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.

On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
