Mouseman Monks Chair
This is a solid oak Monks Chair with a curved back made by Robert Thompson aka. Mouseman.
There is a carved mouse on the front right leg.
This is a comfortable chair originally designed and made in the 1920s for The Ampleforth College library.
The seat is cow hide with brass studs and in reasonable condition commensurate with its age and use.
This chair was probably made in the 1950s. Similar chairs are still made today, they retail at £1700.00.
