A super pair of late 18th century Hepplewhite style painted chairs with cane seats. The original well worn paint retains beautiful colour. Both chairs have an original paper label underneath, one of which has 'Miss Deacon' written on. Perhaps an inventory label, or a label when they went off to the restorers sometime on the early 19th century. The cane seat to one has been replaced by our skilled restorer and perfectly colour matched.

A truly delightful pair of chairs. Who was Miss Deacon? We would love to know but we can picture a delightful Regency lady cherishing these truly delicate and feminine chairs.
