Miniature Georgian Mahogany Fretwork Mirror
A delightful Georgian mahogany fretwork mirror of miniature proportions, c.1800.
The original rectangular plate has the lovely detail of rounded top corners and is held within a finely carved gilded slip surrounded by carved moulding. The whole is surrounded by fine fretwork.
The plate has desirable level of foxing, highlighting the piece's age whilst the remaining reflective. There is some light wear commensurate with age, most notably a slight gap to the fretwork joint at the top right (please see photographs) but generally the whole remains in a very good condition.
A really decorative and unusual piece.

Height: 38cm
Width: 22cm
Depth: 2.5cm
