A mid century teak 'desk in a box' also named 'magic box' c1960's. Manufactured by London based Newcraft Ltd and inspired by the original designers Mummenthaler & Meier of Switzerland. The cupboard opens to reveal a workstation with fitted interior, having a sliding desktop with dropleaf side extensions, large front drawer, pull-out keyboard slide along with many shelves and organisers. Once folded away the cupboard has an attractive teak grain, stands on casters and has the original lock and key. In very good condition.

When fully open the width is 167.5cm wide and with the sliding desktop extended it is 71.5cm in diameter. Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
