Impressive mid 19th.c. gilt overmantle mirror c.1870. 46″ x 58″ arch top mirror within an elegant gilded wooden frame with ebonised detail. Gesso frieze over fluted faux columns with Corinthian tops and scrolling acanthus leaf brackets at the base. Original gilding, obviously distressed in places with some missing portions of the moulded plaster decoration and some areas of retouching. Clean mirror plate and original backboards.
Dimensions: width 60″, depth 5″, height 70″.
