This superb mid-18th C. oil on canvas depicts a noble gentleman, after Van Dyck. The portrait sits in an ornate carved gilt wood frame, with corner shell designs and a rope border around the inside border. The painting inclusive of the frame measures 36 in – 91.5 cm wide by 45 ½ in – 115.5 cm high, with a depth of 3 in – 7.6 cm. The painting itself measures approximately 24 ½ in – 62.2 cm wide by 34 ½ in – 87.6 cm high. This work would make a beautiful and striking focal point of a variety of different room settings.
