Mid-Century Arts & Crafts Oak Cabinet
This is a vintage mid-century high quality oak cabinet in the tradition of the Arts & Crafts movement.
Raised on shaped feet and in good proportion, the two door cabinet sits above the single, deep drawer, unfussy and dressed with modest pulls decorated with carved rosettes.
The cabinet doors are vertically delineated with blackened iron work in the form strap hinges, stud decoration and closing with a simple latch over shaped back plate. Twin gothic arch panels feature in the door fronts with the reciprocating arch form repeating in the upper rail.
Opening the doors, removable twin shelves divide the ample storage within. The lower drawer running easily as one would expect in a piece of this quality.
Pleasingly heavy and crafted to last a lifetime in 1" thick solid oak of the best quality, the choice cuts of timber display beautifully with wisps of medullary rays shining through the oiled finish.
A stunning piece in the Liberty / Heals taste, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
Dimensions:
Max Width: 89cm (35'')
Max Depth: 53cm (20.75'')
Max Height: 117cm (46'')
