A real find, a wonderful silver plated cocktail set comprising a large circular tray, twelve small shot glasses / cups, a strainer and large cocktail shaker.

The design of the shaker and cups is "Ondulations" designed by Luc Lanel for Christofle, dating to c.1940 as part of their Gallia range. This design was created for the luxury liner SS Normandie by the designer Luc Lanel. This grand Ocean liner's first class passenger spaces were decorated in the trendiest Art Deco style and filled with luxuries the bars filled with these smart Art Deco Cocktail Shakers.

All of the pieces are fully marked for Maison Christofle the tray marked "Gallia" France and the Orfèvrerie Christofle chess mark the cocktail shaker marked Christofle France, the Orfèvrerie Christofle chess mark and "Col. Gallia", the twelve cups are marked "Christofle France" and the Orfèvrerie Christofle chess mark the strainer is marked the same.

Rare to find a beautiful set like this and in superb condition dating to c.1930's / 1940's. The tray measures 14 3/8" in diameter x 1" the shaker measuring 10" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter each shop glass measures 2" tall x 1 7/8" in diameter the strainer measures 7 1/4" x 3 3/4" x 3/4".
