L&NWR Advertising Mirror for Canadian Pacific
This mirror would have been found at the stations along the route of the London and North Western Railway Company that ran from London Euston Station to Liverpool between 1885 and 1922 when the L&NWR was taken over by the LMS railway company.
The mirror advertises the fact that you could connect to a Canadian Pacific Steamer which in turn would connect you to a Canadian Pacific train. This route was also used by passengers heading to the Far East like Hong Kong and Japan.
The bevelled edged mirror has it's original oak frame stamped with the wording ' London and North Western Railway'. The mirror itself has in gold lettering 'Canadian Pacific steamers and trains to and through Canada' 'Convenient trains leave this station in connection with Canadian Pacific services'
The frame has slight damage to the top edge. The mirror has foxing. Please see photographs for full details.
