An Ash spindle back rocking chair with a distinctive shell motif carved into the centre of the crest rail. These chairs were known as 'Liverpool' chairs though widely made throughout the north west. The chair has a rush seat and short rockers. It measures 36" (91cms) at its highest point and the seat is 15" (38cms) high.
