A charming and decorative early nineteenth century oil on canvas landscape scene with cattle and sheep. The painting shows a rolling landscape with village in the background and in the fore a group of cattle and sheep, with a rather serious looking bull. The painting has had some professional restoration of a hole, but has not been cleaned and retains the patina and discoloration of age. The painting would be perfect for an early interior decorative scheme. The work is mounted in a Victorian gilt frame, and the whole is in good condition. C.1820.
