Unusual little late 19th.c. chess and sewing table c.1880. Hinged top with excellent parquetry chess board opening to reveal a fitted interior of 8 small lidded compartments, two pin cushions and a hidden drawer. Raised on a turned mahogany column with shaped tripod base. Damaged receiver plate means the top no longer locks. Otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
